Gingerbread Fun!!!

My son made an adorable Gingerbread House in Kindergarten and wanted to share with his sisters, so off I went to Wegmans on a busy Saturday morning and got all the makings for cute Gingerbread Houses.

We started off by "gluing" graham crackers to the sides of a single serve orange juice carton.  The glue was frosting......which was much better tasting than glue :-)

We were going to let that dry overnight, but they couldn't wait to use the candy I bought, so we made a fence and walkway to the front and back door of the house.   I used the whipped frosting in the can to make the outline and the kids used different kinds of candy.

There was also a lot of this going on....

After drying overnight, the fun part began.  We decorated with chocolate chips, gummies, m&ms, fruit loops, marshmallows and gingerbread man cookies.

The finished products

Super easy to make and the kids had a ball!!!!

It's Saturday and I can't even sleep in.

Our Saturdays are just as busy as any other day, unfortunately.  Between religious ed classes and dancing classes, I am a taxi service most of the day.  Thank gooodness I stepped outside today and the temperature was above freezing!  I think there will be some snow melting in the future, just in time for a storm to hit again tomorrow :-(

Custom orders and cut out cookies are on the agenda for today.  These are the orders I finished yesterday ...

I have a cute red/green set to make today, a candy cane bow with ribbon that I found on a back shelf at Hobby Lobby (someone was watching out for me) and a Sabres themed korker.  I did pick up a roll of Shamrock ribbon yesterday, just to get myself in the mood for something other than Christmas.

Everyone have a great Saturday!!!!

Busy, busy, busy

While I am busy with custom Christmas orders, my youngest daughter Abby is wrapping up her toys with some leftover wrapping paper.

To be little again.......

Need to get this rolling.....

Since I now have fans from all over the place, and not just family and friends that know me, I thought I would get this blog up and moving!   For those of you that do not know me.......I am a SAHM to my three beautiful children and a loving wife to my husband of almost 7 years.  I started making bows for my daughters in August and it turned into a surprisingly good way of coping with my father's death.

Here we are on our vacation last year to the Outer Banks.....

I basically started this blog as a way to keep my Wacky Wednesday Giveaways going without breaking any FB rules, but now I think I will use it as an everyday way to keep in touch with all my fans, along with special giveaways.

Come back often and see what I am up to in my busy, crazy life.
